Ondo sets up mobile courts to tackle traffic offences speedily

The Ondo State Government has inaugurated mobile courts to ensure swift adjudication of traffic offences across the state.
Speaking on the initiative, the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Kayode Ajulo, said the courts are designed to correct, not merely punish, road users, adding that the courts will ensure that every violation is promptly addressed whilst protecting development gains and safeguarding lives.
He emphasized that the rule of law must accompany every vehicle on the state’s newly rebuilt roads, highlighting the importance of discipline among drivers and pedestrians.
Ajulo further praised Lucky Aiyedatiwa for the wave of infrastructural projects in the state, particularly the beautification of Akure, the state capital.
He described the newly unveiled ultra-modern road intersections as “masterpieces of engineering” that blend functionality with aesthetics, making Akure a model city.
“These world-standard intersections, with elegant traffic lights, are not just about controlling traffic—they symbolize a state that is rising, proud, and prepared for the future,” Ajulo said.
While addressing road users, the attorney general called on all road users to embrace discipline as a civic duty, stressing that true progress comes from both infrastructure and a collective commitment to obeying the rules.
