APC stalwart Janet Edako dies on way to Kaduna rally

A stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mrs Janet Edako, has reportedly died in a road accident while travelling to attend the party’s presidential campaign flag-off in Kaduna State.
Edako reportedly died in a fatal motor accident around Gonin Gora, Kaduna, at about 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
She was described as an active and committed APC member, a widow with four children, a committed progressive and a loyal supporter of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Following her death, calls have been made on the party’s leadership to support her family, particularly the four children she left behind.
Western Post had reported that the APC flagged off its presidential campaign at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna on Saturday, kicking off its nationwide campaign for President Tinubu’s re-election in the January 16 presidential election.
The campaign flag-off attracted several party leaders, including President Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, among other stakeholders.
