Adeleke raises alarm over alleged plot to disrupt Osun motor parks

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has raised the alarm over an alleged plot by opposition elements to destabilise motor parks across the state.

The governor, in a statement issued on Friday by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, claimed that intelligence reports indicated plans by some individuals to invade motor parks in various local government areas of the state.

According to Adeleke, the alleged move is aimed at creating chaos and undermining the prevailing peace in the state’s transport sector.

He noted that motor parks in Osun had remained peaceful since 2023 and stressed that his administration would not allow instability and conflict to resurface in transport parks.

“Credible reports indicate that some opposition elements are involved in this untoward plan against the peace of Osun State. We already have all the details and I warn them to drop their sinister moves,” the governor said.

Consequently, Adeleke directed the Commissioner of Police in the state, Ibrahim Gotan, to take immediate steps to prevent any breakdown of law and order.

“I have further directed the commissioner of police to take pre-emptive action. The current peace and stability of our dear state must be sustained at all costs,” he added.
