Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has appointed a former Permanent Secretary, Dr. Mann Ali, as the new chairman of the Ondo State Civil Service Commission, subject to confirmation by the State House of Assembly.
The governor also named another retired Permanent Secretary, Mr Michael Oshodi, as a member of the commission, according to a statement issued on Thursday by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Ebenezer Adeniyan.
The appointments come weeks after the expiration of the five-year tenure of the former Chairman of the commission, Mr. Ajose Kudehinbu, and another member in June 2026.
The statement said the appointments were aimed at filling the vacant positions in the commission to ensure its continued operations.
“The governor has approved the appointment of Dr. Mann Ali as the chairman of the Ondo State Civil Service Commission.”
“It also approved the appointment of Mr Michael Oshodi as a member of the commission. Both appointments are subject to confirmation by a resolution of the Ondo State House of Assembly,” the statement read.
Ali and Oshodi are experienced administrators who served as permanent secretaries in the Ondo State public service before their retirement.
