APC appoints Kosoko, Badmus, Toyin Abraham to Lagos campaign team
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed veteran actor Jide Kosoko, actresses Eniola Badmus and Toyin Abraham, and other entertainment personalities to its Lagos State campaign team.
Pasuma, Obesere and Adewale Ayuba are also among the celebrities appointed to the party’s Entertainment and Creative Economy Directorate of the Lagos State Campaign Council.
The full list was released by the Kadri Obafemi Hamzat Media Centre on Thursday, ahead of the council’s inauguration scheduled for Friday, September 18, at the APC Secretariat on ACME Road, Ikeja.
Toke Benson-Awoyinka will serve as Director of the directorate, while Kosoko is co-director and Badmus is deputy director. Akeem Alimi, popularly known as Ajala Jalingo, is secretary, with Dare Olateju as assistant secretary.
Other members from the Yoruba movie industry include Adebayo Salami, popularly known as Oga Bello, Saheed Balogun, Bukky Wright, Fathia Balogun, Yinka Quadri and Tayo Sobola.
The Fuji music industry is represented by Pasuma, Obesere, Ayuba, Sulaimon Alao Adekunle, popularly known as Malaika, Akorede Babatunde Okunola, known as Osupa, and Temitope Adekunle, popularly known as Small Doctor.
The directorate is one of several structures under the campaign council, which has Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu as chairman and Kadri Obafemi Hamzat as deputy chairman.
The appointments come ahead of the 2027 elections, with the Entertainment and Creative Economy Directorate expected to involve prominent figures from the industry in the party’s campaign activities.
