Afrobeats singer Damilola Afolabi, fondly known as L.A.X, has traditionally tied the knot with his fiancée, Ella, in an elaborate ceremony held in Lagos.
The singer had earlier announced his engagement to Ella in January 2026, sharing pictures and videos of the romantic moment with his partner.
The couple formalised their union with a grand traditional wedding in Lagos, following a civil wedding in September and a white wedding at Palazzo Parisio, Malta.
The white wedding was followed by a Nikkah ceremony on Thursday, reflecting L.A.X’s Islamic faith. The singer’s Muslim name is Taofeek. The ceremony was attended by family members and close associates.

The Nikkah programme included an opening prayer, introduction of guests, recitation from the Holy Qur’an, thanksgiving, a naming ceremony, the Nikkah rites, blessings and a closing prayer, as well as donations to the mosque.
The couple brought their wedding celebrations, themed #EDtilltheEnd, to a close with the grand traditional ceremony on Sunday, showcasing Yoruba and Delta cultures in beautifully adorned traditional outfits.
The event attracted several celebrities from the entertainment industry, who joined in celebrating the “Caro” crooner.
L.A.X is the son of billionaire businessman Taiwo Afolabi, founder and Chief Executive Officer of Sifax Group. He rose to prominence following his hit collaboration with Wizkid in 2014.
