BREAKING: Man drowns in Ondo community stream

A sombre atmosphere has settled over Okeagbe, headquarters of Akoko North-West Local Government Area of Ondo State, following the drowning of a man whose identity has yet to be confirmed.

According to a community source, the deceased had travelled from Lagos to the agrarian town to attend his grandmother’s funeral.

The source, who requested anonymity, said the funeral arrangements were abruptly disrupted upon receipt of the tragic news.

Efforts to obtain comments from the police were unsuccessful at the time of filing this report.
