APC Primaries: Desmond Elliot withdraws agents, plans to approach appeal committee

The three-term lawmaker representing Surulere Constituency 1 in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Desmond Elliot has withdrawn his agents from the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election ongoing across the state.

The actor-turned-politician announced the withdrawal of his agents on the day of the party’s primary election, alleging intimidation and obstruction during the process.

He said that he would not accept the election process, saying that he would approach the appeal election committee to challenge the process.

According to him, his supporters and political structure were prevented from operating freely across different zones ahead of the exercise.

Speaking on the development, Elliot said the situation made it impossible for his agents to continue to function.

“In all zones, they have been intimidating and stopping us. I want to officially announce the withdrawal of my agents”, he said.
