First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has launched new initiatives under the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) for 2025, focusing on women’s empowerment, climate action, and support for vulnerable groups.
One of the key programs, Flow with Confidence, will provide disposable sanitary pads to schoolgirls nationwide, with each state, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), receiving 10,000 cartons.

To promote environmental sustainability, Tinubu announced plans to establish climate change clubs in schools and universities, alongside a long-term goal of setting up recycling plants in each state to tackle plastic pollution.
“We don’t have to be intimidated by the waste around us, but we must take action,” she said.
She also introduced a ₦200,000 financial support scheme for 250 persons with disabilities in each state to help grow their businesses.
Highlighting RHI’s impact, Tinubu noted past interventions such as scholarships, support for women farmers, ICT training, and relief aid for disaster victims. She urged young Nigerians to embrace hard work and contribute to national development.

“Faith without works is dead. Go and work for this country,” she said.
The event was attended by Hajia Nana Shettima, Wife of the Vice President and RHI’s National Vice Chairman, along with Mrs. Salamatu Gbajabiamila, Wife of the Chief of Staff to the President.
