‘I’d choose you again’ — Tinubu celebrates Oluremi at 66

President Bola Tinubu has celebrated his wife, Oluremi Tinubu, on her 66th birthday, describing her as his “truest friend and confidante” who has stood by him through difficult moments.

In a birthday message issued ahead of her birthday on Monday, September 21, Tinubu praised the First Lady for her patience, courage, compassion and steadfast faith, saying she had remained a source of counsel throughout their years together.

He said the First Lady had supported him through difficult periods and often understood his concerns even when he could not put them into words.

“More often than not, you sense when I need counsel before I ask. There have been nights when your presence alone was counsel enough,” the President said.

Tinubu also described Oluremi as someone who speaks the truth to him, saying he values her honesty even when her counsel is difficult to hear.

“I call you my truest friend and confidante because you speak the truth plainly, even on the days I would rather not hear it,” he said.

The President said Oluremi had also played a significant role in raising their children and grandchildren, noting that her values of faith and kindness had shaped the family.

He also highlighted her humanitarian activities, saying her compassion had reached young people, widows, elderly citizens and women farmers across the country.
