JUST IN: Ondo PDP Secretary Olujimi dumps party

The Ondo State Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Oluseye Judes Olujimi, has resigned from the party, ending his tenure as a member of the state executive committee.

Olujimi announced his decision in a letter obtained by Western Post, dated September 23, 2026 and addressed to the PDP Ward 1 chairman in Igbara-Oke, Ifedore Local Government Area of the state.

In the letter, titled “Notice of Resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party,” the former state secretary said his resignation took effect immediately, adding that it also brought to an end his service in the state leadership of the party.

“I write to formally notify you of my resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party, with effect from the date of this letter,” Olujimi stated.

He added, “Accordingly, this resignation equally brings to a close my service as the State Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ondo State.”

The lawyer, who did not indicate any specific reason for his decision, said he was leaving the party with gratitude for the relationships, experiences and opportunities it had provided him.

“I leave with gratitude for the relationships, experiences and opportunities the party afforded me, and without prejudice to the enduring personal bonds built along the way,” he wrote.

Olujimi urged the party leadership to update its records to reflect his resignation and wished the PDP and its members well as he brought his involvement with the party to a close.
