Lagos APC bars candidates from travelling abroad until after 2027 elections

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, has directed all candidates of the party not to travel outside the country until after the 2027 general elections.
Ojelabi gave the directive on Friday at the inauguration of the PBAT/KOH Campaign Council in Ikeja, Lagos.
He urged the candidates to cooperate with and support members of the campaign council, stressing the need for them to maintain regular contact with council members.
“No candidate is allowed to travel out of the country until after the elections,” Ojelabi said.
He directed council members to operate within their senatorial districts and local government areas, with a focus on mobilising massive support for the party’s candidates.
Ojelabi also said there was limited work at the campaign secretariat, adding that the facility would not be populated by all council members.
“The secretariat is mainly for a few officers and is meant for policy formulation and directives,” he said.
