Makinde reshuffles cabinet, names new head of service, commissioner

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has sworn in a new head of service and two commissioners as part of a minor cabinet reshuffle in the state.

The ceremony took place on Monday at the Executive Chamber of the Governor’s Office, Agodi, Ibadan, where Dr. Adenike Fasina was inaugurated as the new head of service.

Also sworn in were Dr. Idowu Oyeleke and Barrister Ayobami Ojo as commissioners into the state executive council.

Makinde said the appointments were based on merit, inclusivity, and equitable representation, describing them as a call to greater responsibility in the service of the state.

He urged the new appointees to remain committed to his administration’s development agenda and to contribute meaningfully to the delivery of government promises to the people of Oyo State.

The governor also announced a minor cabinet reshuffle, redeploying the Commissioner for Special Duties, Alhaja Fausat Joke-Sanni, to the Ministry of Investment, Trade, Cooperatives and Industry.

Dr. Oyeleke was assigned to the Ministry of Special Duties, while Barrister Ojo was posted to the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning.

Makinde expressed confidence in the ability of the new and redeployed officials to justify the trust placed in them through effective service delivery and dedication to the state’s development goals.
