Nigerian workers deserve the best quality of life, says APC
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has said that Nigerian workers deserve the highest standard of living that the country could offer.
This was contained in a press statement issued by the party and signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Mr Felix Morka to commemorate this year’s Workers’ Day anniversary.
According to the party, Nigerian workers are entitled to the highest standard of living the country can offer, which upholds the shared goals of comprehensive and long-term economic development.
The APC assured the workers that the administration of President Bola Tinubu is unwavering in its resolve to enhance the well-being of Nigerian workers, adding that the administration’s comprehensive, revolutionary economic policies are aimed at increasing workers’ and Nigerians’ overall access to economic opportunities and benefits.
“Delightedly, the President Bola Tinubu-led administration remains resolute in its commitment to improving the welfare of Nigerian workers. Aside from the delisting of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) from the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System (IPPIS), wage awards for many months, negotiations are in top gear to approve a new living minimum wage for Nigerian workers. The far-reaching transformative economic policies of the administration are intended to expand economic opportunities and benefits for workers and Nigerians in general,” the statement read.
The party applauded the significant contribution Nigerian workers have made to the establishment and maintenance of the country’s economic life, saying the APC appreciate their tenacity, sacrifice, devotion, and patriotism.
It concluded by imploring workers to remain steadfast and work with the APC-led government to create a more successful and viable nation for current and upcoming generations of Nigerians.
