Presidency disowns ‘Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council’

The Presidency has distanced itself from the purported appointment of Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi under the banner of an organization known as the “Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council,” describing the claim as false and misleading.

In a disclaimer issued on Thursday, the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, stated that the Federal Government had become aware of activities by Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, who is allegedly presenting himself to the public as having been appointed by the Office of the Chief of Staff.

Gbajabiamila clarified that no such appointment had been made and that the so-called Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council is not recognized under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“The unsuspecting public is hereby advised to note that such an office does not exist under this administration and no appointment has been made in that regard,” the statement said.

The Presidency further urged foreign and diplomatic missions, financial and multilateral institutions, development organizations, security agencies, and other stakeholders to take note of the disclaimer and disregard any claims linking the alleged council or its representatives to the Federal Government.
