Sanni urges reconciliation in Kwara APC ahead of polls

A notable member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State, Engr. Femi Sanni, popularly known as Araba, has called on the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) and President Bola Tinubu to urgently intervene in the lingering disagreements among stakeholders in the state chapter ahead of the 2027 general election.

In a statement issued Wednesday, Araba said the current political atmosphere within the Kwara APC requires sincere and decisive reconciliation to preserve the party’s unity and electoral strength.

He said that although the APC remains the dominant political party in the state, unresolved differences among key stakeholders could undermine its chances if left unresolved.

According to him, the party’s national leadership should immediately facilitate an inclusive reconciliation process that accommodates all interests and restores confidence among members.

Araba said lasting peace could only be achieved through mutual respect, understanding and a willingness by all parties to make compromises, adding that every committed member deserves to feel valued.

He also urged party leaders and members to place the collective interest of the APC above personal ambitions, stressing that unity has remained one of the party’s greatest strengths in Kwara.

The governorship aspirant maintained that the APC remains the party to beat in the state, but cautioned that no individual or political bloc should be taken for granted because every stakeholder has a role in securing victory in 2027.

He further expressed confidence that with timely intervention by the party’s national leadership, the APC would emerge more united, stronger and better positioned to retain power in Kwara in the next governorship election.
