Sen Ipinsagba under fire as ADC candidate demands public scorecard

By Boye Oyeyemi
Prince Foluso Mayowa Adefemi, the African Democratic Congress candidate for Ondo North, has challenged incumbent Senator Olajide Ipinsagba to publicly publish his performance record before the 2027 general elections.
The opposition contender stressed that constituents require a detailed account of the lawmaker’s achievements since taking office, especially as political momentum builds across the senatorial district.
Insisting on strict accountability, Adefemi noted that elected public officers must demonstrate the tangible impact of their tenure rather than relying on political promises.
He further urged the sitting senator to provide verifiable evidence of his legislative contributions, constituency projects, and local community interventions.
Emphasising the core values of democratic governance, the candidate stated that voters deserve the opportunity to assess their representative’s stewardship before deciding on future mandates.
Outlining his own alternative vision, Adefemi pledged that his representation would prioritise youth empowerment, education, healthcare, infrastructure, and steady community engagement across all six local government areas.
To sustain this commitment to transparency, he promised to establish periodic town hall meetings that allow residents to directly question him on legislative actions, projects, and resource allocation.
Ultimately, the ADC candidate maintained that such consistent public engagement would ensure genuinely transparent, accessible, and people-oriented representation for the people of Ondo North.
