Speaker Obasa celebrates Deputy Governor Hamzat on 60th birthday
The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, has lauded Deputy Governor Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat as a seasoned administrator committed to the development of Lagos.
Obasa made the commendation in a statement issued by the Speaker’s Chief Press Secretary, Eromosele Ebhomele, on Wednesday, in honor of Dr. Hamzat’s 60th birthday, celebrated on September 19.
Describing the celebrant as a “blessing to Lagos and Nigeria,” Obasa emphasized the Deputy Governor’s unwavering dedication to the Lagos project, praising his numerous contributions to the state’s progress.
“He is not just a seasoned administrator, but also a fine gentleman who has worked closely with other leaders to keep Lagos great,” Obasa stated.
The Speaker highlighted Hamzat’s achievements, noting that his technocratic expertise and commitment to service have produced positive outcomes for the state.
“At 60, Dr. Hamzat exemplifies a technocrat whose dedication has brought significant results to Lagos. He is a dedicated Nigerian, a true brother, and a trusted ally in our efforts to make Lagos a better place.”
Obasa also acknowledged the strong working relationship between Deputy Governor Hamzat, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and other government bodies, which has contributed to the smooth governance of Lagos.
“His loyalty, knowledge, and managerial skills have always made us proud. Dr. Hamzat’s experience over the years has been instrumental in advancing the glory of our dear state,” Obasa said.
In his statement, Obasa extended heartfelt congratulations to the Deputy Governor, noting that his leadership has been invaluable to Lagos’ success.
