President Bola Tinubu has commended Nigerian women for their resilience and contributions to national development, promising greater opportunities and support for their advancement.
In a personally signed message marking the 2025 International Women’s Day, Tinubu described women as the foundation of the nation, playing key roles in governance, business, agriculture, and community development.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to fostering a more inclusive society under the Renewed Hope Agenda, ensuring women have equal access to opportunities across all sectors.
“As we celebrate this day, I acknowledge the resilience, brilliance, and indispensable contributions of Nigerian women,” he stated.
The President also emphasized plans to expand access to finance for women, empowering them to thrive in entrepreneurship and leadership roles.
Reflecting on the progress made since the 1995 Beijing Declaration, he acknowledged that many challenges still hinder women’s full participation in society.
“To our mothers, daughters, and sisters—your strength fuels Nigeria’s future. Together, we rise!” Tinubu declared.
