Tinubu greets former Military President IBB at 83

President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Nigeria’s former Head of State, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, on his 83rd birthday today, August 17.

General Babangida, fondly called IBB, served as Nigeria’s Military President from 1985 to 1993.

This was contained in a statement by Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President (Media and Publicity).

President Tinubu saluted the former Head of State on this special occasion, noting his contributions to the development of the nation, particularly in infrastructure, including the completion of the Third Mainland Bridge, which was, at the time, the longest bridge in Africa.

The President acknowledged General Babangida’s role in shaping modern Nigeria and commended him for his service to the nation.

President Tinubu wished the former Head of State many more years in good health.
