Tributes pour in as Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba dies

The Nigerian film industry has been thrown into mourning following the death of Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba after a prolonged battle with breast cancer.

Osoba reportedly died on Tuesday evening, nearly two years after undergoing breast cancer surgery. She had publicly appealed for financial assistance for a second surgery in November 2024.

Announcing her passing, her colleague and close associate, actor Alesh Ola Sanni, expressed grief in an Instagram post, describing Osoba as a dear friend with whom he shared many memorable moments.

“Couldn’t sleep since last night. It’s well. Rest in peace my dearest sister, Temitope Osoba. We had amazing times and good memories together till we meet again. I really don’t know what to say,” he wrote.

Osoba was widely admired for her professionalism and the memorable performances she delivered throughout her acting career, earning the respect of both her peers and audiences.
