Controversial relationship expert Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, and her businessman partner, Ikechukwu Ogbonna, also known as IVD, have publicly apologised for their past actions and utterances, saying they are ready to turn over a new leaf.

The couple took to their respective Instagram pages on Tuesday to apologise to anyone they might have offended through their past actions. Recall that they faced heavy public backlash following the controversial death of IVD’s late wife, Bimbo, and his subsequent relationship with Blessing CEO, who mocked the deceased in defence of their relationship.

Following the death of her son, Bryan, in June, Blessing CEO penned an emotional tribute to him, vowing to keep his memory alive. In a post shared on Sunday, she said she was still living in denial and missed him profoundly.

In a video shared on her Instagram page on Tuesday, she expressed deep regret for speaking carelessly about pain she had never experienced, adding that the death of her son had opened her eyes to the pain she might have caused others.

Speaking about the impact of her son’s death on her health, Blessing CEO said her brain felt numb and everywhere appeared blurry. She acknowledged her past mistakes, adding that she was prepared to face public criticism as the price for her actions.

The self-acclaimed therapist apologised to everyone she had hurt through her words and actions, saying she could now understand the pain she once mocked. She also appealed for prayers, saying she was exhausted from praying alone.

“I am sorry, I am so, so sorry for speaking carelessly about pains I have never felt. I am sorry, so sorry, because I am realising that talk is cheap but action is loud. I am only human, with blood flowing through my veins, so I am bound to make mistakes.Pray for me because I am exhausted from praying by myself,” she said.

In a related development, IVD also shared a message on social media reflecting on five years of personal battles. He asked for God’s mercy and forgiveness, apologised to anyone he might have hurt and acknowledged that he was not perfect, adding that he had prayed for God’s mercy as he reflected on his past actions.
