The Executive Governor of Kogi State, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has pledged his administration’s unwavering support for the National Pension Commission (PenCom) under its new Director-General, Ms. Omolola Oloworaran.

Ododo made the pledge on Friday, August 15, 2025, during a courtesy visit to the PenCom headquarters in Abuja. He congratulated Oloworaran on her appointment, describing her as a proud daughter of Kogi State and a worthy representative of the state at the federal level.

The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the welfare of pensioners in Kogi State, highlighting ongoing measures to ensure the regular disbursement of gratuities and the clearance of outstanding pension liabilities. He also recalled his continued advocacy for pension sector reforms, which he said predates his assumption of office.

In her response, Oloworaran commended the governor’s dedication to retirees’ welfare and acknowledged the role he has played in addressing pension-related challenges in the state. She assured him of PenCom’s readiness to partner with the Kogi State Government to strengthen pension administration and secure the welfare of workers and retirees.
