Adeleke’s works visible across Osun, deserves second term — Oladipupo

A member of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Chairman of the Imole Campaign Council in Osun State, Professor Adewale Oladipupo, has said the visible impact of Governor Ademola Adeleke’s road construction and infrastructure projects across the state justifies public support for a second term.

Oladipupo, who declared strong support for a second term for the governor, cited widespread road construction and the transformative impact of ongoing infrastructure projects across Ile-Ife.

Speaking during a project tour by officials of the Osun State Government, the Ile-Ife prince commended the pace and quality of work on the ongoing Lagere flyover and road projects across Ile-Ife, noting that the administration deliberately prioritised durability over rushed execution. He added that the contractor handling the flyover is doing a “fantastic job”.

Describing the flyover as a novel and historic intervention, Oladipupo said the governor’s decision to construct it carries deep significance for Ile-Ife, an ancient city that once ranked among the major cities of the world.

He added that the central location of the flyover makes it beneficial to several communities across Ife land, saying the road had previously been left in a devastated state after demolitions by past administrations but is now being rebuilt at a pace and width that could make it the jewel of infrastructure in Ife.

Speaking on the question of a second term, Oladipupo said while God determines the fate of man, Adeleke has touched every settlement in Ife land through road construction. He listed areas from Ifetedo to Garage Olode, Modakeke, Iremo, Ilode, Ilare, Moore, Ipetumodu, Moro and Edun-Abon, noting that many of the roads were once considered impossible by residents.

Also speaking, a resident, Adeyeye Olaposi, noted that the projects were visible and not hidden, adding that the construction would boost economic activities and ease movement upon completion.

Another resident, Owolabi Elizabeth, declared support for Adeleke to continue in office, citing the physical presence of projects across the state.
