Tinubu commends Emeka Offor Foundation over medical books distribution

President Bola Tinubu has commended philanthropist and businessman Emeka Offor for supporting medical education in Nigeria through a nationwide distribution of medical books by the Sir Emeka Offor Foundation.
The President praised the initiative in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, on Friday.
According to the statement, the foundation facilitated the procurement and shipment of 10 forty-foot containers of up-to-date medical and nursing books and journals from the United States to Nigeria following a request from the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare.
The materials are scheduled to be distributed to tertiary medical institutions across the six geopolitical zones of the country.
Tinubu said the initiative would strengthen healthcare education and boost academic capacity in medical institutions nationwide.
He also thanked Offor, who is the Chief Executive Officer of the Chrome Group, for his continued support for initiatives that promote education, health and human capital development.
The President urged the philanthropist to sustain his charitable efforts and continue supporting initiatives that contribute to national development.
