The Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Dr Adegboyega Oyetola, CON, has expressed readiness to reclaim Osun State for the progressive fold as the state prepares for the forthcoming governorship election.
Speaking during the 15th anniversary memorial of his late mother, Alhaja Wulemot Arike Oyetola, in Iragbiji, Oyetola thanked the people of the state for their unwavering commitment and solidarity, reaffirming that the APC is determined to return to power on August 15 this year.
The immediate past governor of the state also emphasised the need to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s socio-economic reforms aimed at transforming the country.
He called on the people of the state and beyond to rally round “their own” at the helm of affairs at the centre in order to collectively build a nation of everyone’s dream.
While expressing confidence about sending the current government packing in the forthcoming governorship election, Oyetola said, “As a formidable party, we are firmly ready and prepared to return the APC to government in Osun.”
Oyetola appealed to Osun residents to remain resolute and unperturbed, assuring that “we will vote and we will win.”
He also urged residents of the state to take part in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise, describing it as a civic responsibility for all.
Islamic clerics gathered in Iragbiji to pray for the eternal repose of the soul of Oyetola’s late mother, Alhaja Wulemot Arike Oyetola.
