Security forces have killed four bandits and rescued two abduction victims in Aboki community of Kaiama Local Government Area.
This was according to security reports made available to newsmen on Wednesday in Ilorin.
According to reports, security forces were mobilised following local reports of kidnapping incident in the community on Tuesday night.
“Five armed bandits attacked the community to kidnap people. They even took one Alhaji Tukur, but the security agents were able to neutralize four of the bandits, while one of them escaped with gunshot injuries. Alhaji Tukur and another victim were freed without injuries,” a local source said.
Commending the security forces, residents noted that their operations have significantly improved response time as the government doubles down on anti-kidnapping campaign nationwide.
