A former Chief of Staff to Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, Segun Ogunwuyi, has attended the manifesto presentation of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, in Ibadan.

Ogunwuyi was among the dignitaries at the event held on Tuesday, days after announcing his resignation from the Makinde administration.

His appearance at the opposition party’s political event has attracted attention, given his recent position in the Oyo State Government and the timing of his resignation.

The former chief of staff’s attendance also comes as political activities gather momentum ahead of the 2027 governorship election in the state.

At the event, Alli unveiled his policy proposals and outlined his vision for Oyo State, presenting his agenda to residents ahead of the election.

Ogunwuyi’s presence at the manifesto presentation has, however, raised questions about his political direction following his departure from the Makinde administration.

Nevertheless, his attendance at the event does not automatically establish that he has defected to the APC or endorsed Alli’s governorship ambition.

As of the time of filing this report, Ogunwuyi had yet to make any official declaration regarding his political affiliation or future political plans.
