The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Oyo State, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, has unveiled his OYO AHEAD manifesto, outlining his vision for inclusive development, economic prosperity and improved opportunities for residents ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

Alli presented the manifesto on Tuesday in Ibadan, describing it as a people’s contract built around clear priorities, practical commitments and a shared vision for the state’s development.

In a message following the unveiling, the former Oyo State senate leader said the document was designed to provide a roadmap for building a state where residents could enjoy greater opportunities and actively participate in its economic and social development.

He stressed that his vision was to ensure that the benefits of development and prosperity reached all sections of society rather than being concentrated in particular communities or groups.

“Today, I placed before the people of Oyo State the OYO AHEAD Manifesto, a people’s contract built on clear priorities, practical commitments and a shared vision for progress,” Alli said.

The APC candidate also emphasised the need to move beyond campaign promises, arguing that the state’s development required practical steps and measurable results.

“The task before us is clear: build an Oyo of opportunity, prosperity and inclusive development,” he said, adding, “The future demands more than promises. It demands action.”

The unveiling attracted party leaders, political stakeholders and representatives of different sectors of society. The OYO AHEAD programme is expected to serve as the policy framework through which Alli will communicate his proposed development priorities and plans to the electorate.

The presentation marks another step in the APC candidate’s preparations for the 2027 governorship election as political activities gradually gather momentum in Oyo State.
