Obi needs rest, exhausted from hectic campaign schedule, NDC spokesperson says

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has dismissed concerns about the health of its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, saying he is only experiencing exhaustion from his demanding political engagements.
Dr Sam Omale, the party’s deputy campaign spokesperson, said Obi had no medical condition and remained in good health despite his hectic schedule.
Omale spoke during an interview on Channels Television, where he explained that the former Anambra State governor frequently travelled between locations and handled multiple activities with little time for rest.
He said Obi’s commitment to his political activities often pushed him beyond his physical limits.
“Sometimes I wonder where he gets his energy from. He is in London today and the following morning in Enugu. I’m wondering how he does it. Exhaustion comes in; he is a human being,” he said.
Omale added that members of Obi’s team had been urging him to slow down and get adequate rest.
“He is in perfect health. There’s nothing wrong with him. It’s just exhaustion, and we are trying to calm him down to take a sleep. He is fine,” he said.
The spokesperson, however, maintained that the exhaustion would not disrupt the party’s ongoing campaign activities.
