APC House of Reps member suffers defeat in Kwara

A member of the House of Representatives, representing Ifelodun/Offa/Oyun federal constituency of Kwara State, Hon. Tijani Ismail has been defeated in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary in his constituency.

Ismail, who scored three votes during the primary was defeated by Amb. Tajudeen Abioye who polled 179 votes to emerge as APC’s candidate for the federal constituency.

A former special adviser (Special Duties) in the state, Alhaji Yinka Aluko won the APC ticket for Ilorin South/East constituency, Segun Adebayo won in Ekiti/Isin/Irepodun/Oke-Ero constituency, Mohammed Umar Bio emerged winner in Baruten/Kaiama constituency while Mukhtar Shagaya won in Ilorin West/Asa constituency.

The result of the primary in Edu/Patigi/ Moro constituency was still being awaited as at the time of filing this report.
