BBNaija 10: Joanna makes history as housemates lose first wager challenge

By Tosin Brown –

Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) Season 10 contestant, Joanna, has made history as the first female to win the opening Arena Game in the show’s history.

Joanna emerged victorious after completing the challenge in 3 minutes and 15 seconds, breaking the trend of male dominance in the first Arena Game across the previous nine seasons.

Big Brother informed Joanna that she would receive her reward at the appropriate time.

Meanwhile, the 29 housemates have lost their first wager challenge of the season.

The task, which took place on Friday, required the housemates to stage a dramatic performance themed around a ball and unmasking elements. However, the outcome failed to impress Big Brother.

“Such an unremarkable performance. Housemates, your presentation lacks imagination and substance. Big Brother’s verdict will be as disappointing as your performance. You have lost your wager,” he declared.

As a result, the house will not receive new groceries or luxury items for the week, and housemates will have to manage with limited food supplies.

Big Brother also warned the housemates about slow responses and repeated microphone infringements during the task.
