First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has called on Christian youth across the country to promote love, unity, and compassion as vital ingredients for national development.

She made the appeal while hosting members of the Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN) to an Easter brunch at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Senator Tinubu emphasized the need for mutual respect and understanding among Nigerians, regardless of religious or regional backgrounds, stressing that “sacrificial love and compassion” remain essential in transforming society.

“I am encouraged by your visit and show of love,” the First Lady said, urging the youth to take the lead in promoting gender equity and ensuring that women who are willing have ample opportunities to thrive in the country.

The National Chairman of YOWICAN, Belusochukwu Enwerem, expressed appreciation for the First Lady’s continued support and reiterated the group’s commitment to advancing her Renewed Hope vision and the broader national agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He also revealed ongoing engagements with Muslim youth as part of efforts to foster religious harmony.

In a symbolic gesture of support, YOWICAN launched the Renewed Hope Neighbor2Neighbor Movement and named Senator Tinubu as its Grand Patron.

The Easter event marked the second time the group has paid homage to the First Lady, using the occasion to exchange goodwill and share a festive meal.
