JUST IN: Fire breaks out at Lagos airport’s Terminal 2
A fire broke out on Sunday at Terminal 2 of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, prompting an emergency response by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).
FAAN confirmed the incident in a statement, saying its Aerodrome Rescue and Firefighting Service (ARFFS) was immediately deployed to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading.
The authority said there were no reported casualties or loss of life as firefighters worked to bring the situation under control.
FAAN added that further information would be released as investigations and emergency operations continue.
