President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s armed forces, pledging advanced weaponry, enhanced intelligence, and robust logistical support to ensure victory against insurgents and other security threats.
Speaking to frontline troops during his official visit to Katsina on Friday, Tinubu assured the soldiers that their welfare remains a top priority alongside military preparedness.
“As your Commander-in-Chief, I am fully aware of the challenges you face,” the President said. “We are taking bold steps to equip you with advanced weaponry, superior intelligence, and strong logistical support—not only to defend this nation but to dominate and defeat every adversary.”
Beyond battlefield readiness, Tinubu emphasized his administration’s focus on the personal well-being of military personnel and their families. “Your welfare is my top priority,” he declared. “We are committed to ensuring your families are safe, your allowances are paid promptly, your healthcare is guaranteed, and your dignity upheld.”

He outlined ongoing initiatives, including new housing programs, family support systems, insurance coverage, and improved remuneration, promising swift implementation.
In a rousing address, the President praised the courage and sacrifice of Nigeria’s armed forces, calling them “the shield of Nigeria” and “silent guardians of our democracy.” He underscored the government’s unwavering support, vowing that Nigeria “will not bow to fear, terror, or treachery.”
The visit comes amid intensified efforts to combat terrorism, banditry, and insurgency across the country. Tinubu urged troops to remain resolute, declaring, “Let the enemies of Nigeria know—their time is up.”
