Media practitioner Akinyemi condoles APC National Secretary Bashiru over mother’s death

Academic and media practitioner, Dr. Akinyemi Rasaq Akanmu Bolaji, has expressed condolences to the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ajibola Bashiru, following the death of his mother.
In a condolence message issued on Wednesday, Bolaji described the loss of a mother as one of life’s greatest sorrows and prayed for Almighty Allah to grant the deceased eternal rest in Al-Jannatul Firdaus.
The scholar noted that although death is inevitable, the pain of losing a parent is never easy, urging the APC chieftain and members of the Bashiru family to remain steadfast in faith during the period of mourning.
Bolaji also recalled Bashiru’s support for him in 2021, when the former senator accepted his request to write the foreword to a book published in honour of Prof. Ralph Akinfeleye.
He further remembered that Bashiru served as the lead paper presenter at a colloquium held in November 2021 while serving as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Media and Public Affairs.
According to him, the APC National Secretary has consistently demonstrated accessibility, humility and a willingness to support academic and intellectual initiatives.
He described Bashiru as a leader who has always made himself available to encourage people and contribute to the growth of ideas.
Bolaji prayed that Allah forgives the shortcomings of the deceased, grants her eternal peace and comforts the Bashiru family as they mourn her passing.
