Music Video Director, TG Omori undergoes kidney transplant

One of the busiest Nigerian music directors and cinematographers, ThankGod Omori Smith, also known as TG Omori, has announced that he recently battled kidney-related issues.

The cinematographer, who is also known as Boy Director, revealed that his only brother donated a kidney to him.

TG Omori disclosed this on Tuesday, August 27, while opening up about his health challenges on X.

He shared that the kidney transplant took place on Monday, August 26, 2024.

“Yesterday, my only brother gave me one of his kidneys so I could live again,” he wrote.

The music director also shared pictures of himself on a hospital bed receiving oxygen on his Instagram story.

Captioning the pictures, he wrote, “Keep my spirit alive. I don’t wanna die.”
