In a heartwarming twist of fate, the Lagos State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Mrs Christiana Salmwang, has reunited with her former Corps Liaison Officer (CLO) after 18 years.

The reunion took place in Lagos, bringing back memories of 2007 when Mrs Salmwang served as the Local Government Inspector for Kaduna North Local Government, and Mr Isah Sulaiman was her CLO.

Today, both have climbed impressive professional ladders. Mrs Salmwang now heads the NYSC Lagos Secretariat, while Mr Sulaiman serves as a Chief Superintendent of Customs and the Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Customs Service.

Reflecting on the meeting, Mrs Salmwang said the encounter reinforces the enduring bonds and life-changing impact of the one-year NYSC programme.

The emotional reunion is a reminder that the relationships forged during the service year can transcend time, distance, and career paths, leaving a lasting imprint on lives long after the khaki uniform is hung up.
