Osun 2026: Former Oyetola commissioner resigns from APC

Hon. Folorunso Bamisayemi, a former commissioner for education under the administration of former Osun State Governor Gboyega Oyetola, has resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Bamisayemi, a two-term member of the Osun State House of Assembly, announced his resignation in a letter dated June 1, 2026, addressed to the APC Ward Chairman, Kere Ward 09, Ife South Local Government Area of Osun State.

He said his decision followed weeks of introspection and reflection on recent political developments within the party in Osun State.

The letter read: “I hereby resign my membership of the All Progressives Congress. Please note that the resignation takes immediate effect.”

On his verified Facebook page, Bamisayemi wrote: “After weeks of introspection and reflection on recent political developments within the All Progressives Congress in Osun State, I have conclusively resolved to resign my membership of the party with immediate effect.

“I sincerely appreciate the leadership and members of the party at the state level, Ife Federal Constituency and Ife South Local Government. Thank you”.
