Oyebamiji congratulates Ekiti governor on re-election, says electorate will always reward performance

The Osun State governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Oyebamiji, has congratulated Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, on his re-election victory, describing the outcome as a clear demonstration that the electorate will always reward performance.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Oyebamiji said the overwhelming mandate given to Oyebanji by the people of Ekiti State was a strong endorsement of his purposeful leadership, people-oriented policies and achievements since assuming office.
He stated that the re-election was a reward for the governor’s commitment to good governance and the welfare of the people, as well as a reaffirmation of the strength and acceptance of the APC across the South-West and Nigeria at large.
“I rejoice with the good people of Ekiti State for choosing continuity, stability and progress. I have no doubt that Governor Oyebanji will build on his impressive record and continue to deliver transformative development that will further position Ekiti for greater prosperity,” the Osun APC governorship candidate said.
According to him, the result of the election also sends a strong message to political actors that effective leadership and service delivery remain the most decisive factors in electoral outcomes.
He expressed optimism that the APC would record a resounding victory in the Osun State governorship election scheduled for August 15, 2026, saying the Ekiti outcome reinforces the party’s confidence ahead of the contest.
Oyebamiji reaffirmed the commitment of the APC to delivering responsive governance, sustainable development and shared prosperity for the people.
“As progressives, we remain committed to delivering responsive governance, sustainable development and shared prosperity for our people. The Ekiti victory is another sign that the progressive family continues to enjoy the trust and confidence of Nigerians,” he said.
