PDP to inaugurate South South zonal caretaker committee Thursday

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says the South South Zonal Caretaker Committee of the party would be formally inaugurated on Thursday, March 13, 2025.

A statement issued on Monday by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, said the Committee inauguration would hold at the National Executive Committee (NEC) Hall, PDP National Secretariat at 11am in Abuja.

The statement read, “The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will, pursuant to its powers under the Constitution of the PDP (as amended in 2017) formally inaugurate the South South Zonal Caretaker Committee of our great Party on Thursday, March 13, 2025.

” The South South Zonal Caretaker Committee which assumed office on Monday, March 10, 2025 following expiration of the tenure of the South South Zonal Executive on Sunday, March 9, 2025 consists of the following members; Chief Emmanuel Ogidi – Chairman, Hon. Nicholas Ayuwa – Member, Barr. Godwin Akpan Udonta – Member, Mrs. Bekewei Ashanti – Member, Idehen Ebomoyi – Member, Dame Vivian Ahanmisi – Member, Chief Damiete Herbert-Miller -Secretary⁠,and Dr. Chris Uduoaka  Administrative Secretary

“The South South Zonal Caretaker Committee is to pilot the affairs of the Party in the Zone in line with the provisions of the PDP Constitution until a new Zonal Executive is elected.

“The NWC charges all leaders, critical stakeholders and teeming members of the PDP in the South South Zone to remain united, focused and continue to work together for the interest of Party and the nation”.
