Profile of new Ogun Chief of Staff, Oluwatoyin Taiwo
Dr. Oluwatoyin Taiwo has been appointed as the Chief of Staff to Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, Nigeria.
An alumnus of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Dr. Taiwo holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Statistics and has pursued advanced degrees culminating in a Ph.D.
In Governor Abiodun’s first term, Dr. Taiwo served as the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, where he was instrumental in promoting the state’s cultural heritage and tourism potential.
Subsequently, he was elevated to the position of Deputy Chief of Staff, demonstrating his competence and dedication to the administration’s goals.
His recent appointment as Chief of Staff, effective December 18, 2024, has been credited to the Governor’s confidence in his abilities to manage and coordinate the activities of the executive council.
Dr. Taiwo’s extensive experience in public service and his academic background are expected to contribute significantly to the effective implementation of the administration’s policies and programs.
