Tinubu condemns Kaduna attack, orders security agencies to hunt killers

President Bola Tinubu has condemned the attack on Naridon Village in Kamaru Ward of Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, which claimed the lives of about 30 residents, including women and children.

The attack, which occurred in the early hours of Monday, also left several houses burnt.

In a statement issued on Tuesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President described the assault as a “barbaric and cowardly” act of terror against innocent and defenceless citizens.

Tinubu said those responsible for the killings would be brought to justice, stressing that anyone seeking to undermine the peace and security recorded in Kaduna State in recent times would not go unpunished.

“I have directed the Armed Forces, police, and relevant intelligence agencies to intensify operations across the affected areas to track down the perpetrators swiftly and restore normalcy to the region,” the President said.

He expressed condolences to the families of the victims, Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, the state government and the people of Kaduna State over the incident.

The President also assured the state government and affected communities of the Federal Government’s support, saying his administration remained committed to addressing security challenges across the country.

“Our administration has an unwavering commitment to strengthening security infrastructure, equipping response personnel, and neutralising criminal networks attempting to disrupt the peace of the nation,” he said.
