Tinubu receives Benin President Wadagni in Lagos
President Bola Tinubu on Monday hosted the President of the Republic of Benin, H.E. Romuald Wadagni, at his residence in Lagos during what the presidency has described as a private visit.
In a post on his X account, Bayo Onanuga, spokesperson to President Bola Tinubu, confirmed the visit.
He wrote: “President Tinubu received at his Lagos residence on Monday, H.E. Romuald Wadagni, President of the Republic of Benin, who came on a private visit.”
The visit is also coming weeks after Nigeria’s Vice President Kashim Shettima led a senior Nigerian delegation to Benin for official engagements tied to presidential inauguration activities in Cotonou, where Nigeria reaffirmed its commitment to close cooperation with its francophone neighbor.
