PHOTO NEWS: Tinubu attends Navy 70th anniversary international fleet review in Lagos

President Bola Tinubu on Monday attended the International Fleet Review held at Eko Atlantic, Lagos, as part of activities marking the 70th anniversary of the Nigerian Navy.

The event brought together top government officials, service chiefs, and state governors to celebrate decades of maritime service and national security contributions by the Navy.

The ceremony featured a ceremonial fleet review, inspection of naval assets, and a parade in honour of the Nigerian Navy’s 70 years of existence.

President Tinubu reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to strengthening maritime security, safeguarding Nigeria’s territorial waters, and supporting the armed forces.

The President received the Naval flag from the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Idi Abbas, symbolising honour and tradition during the commemorative event held at Eko Atlantic.

Among those in attendance were the Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede; National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu; Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu; and Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

Also present were senior naval officers and members of the Armed Forces, including Vice Admiral Idi Abbas and his wife, Haisa Abbas, alongside other top military and government officials.
