You need integrity to make Nigeria better- Olukoyede charges students

The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ola Olukoyede, has charged students across the country to take integrity as a watchword in everything they do, stressing that such a virtues can quickly offer a cardinal route for the development and betterment of Nigeria.

Olukoyede gave the charge at a re-sensitization and reorientation programme of members of the Integrity Club of Anglican Girls Grammar School, Apo, Abuja.

The Commission’s Chairman, who was represented by the Head, EFCC Radio, Deputy Commander of the EFCC, DCE Nwanyinma Okeanu, pointed out that Integrity Club was very important in schools because students are the future of Nigeria, adding that anything they do today will reflect and affect the wellbeing of the country tomorrow.

“We have people from all parts of the country who are here, if Nigeria is going to be better tomorrow, you will make it good with integrity. The reason why we are here is that the Executive Chairman of EFCC feels that nurturing the younger generation is very important for Nigeria’s development. So, we have to follow the part of integrity, because with integrity you can achieve anything, you will not embezzle what is placed in your care and the sky will be your stepping stone,” she said.

Head, Enlightenment and Reorientation Unit, Assistant Commander of the EFCC, ACE II Aisha Mohammed, while speaking at the event, enjoined the students to be patriotic by doing what is right even when nobody is watching.

In her welcome remarks, the Principal of the college, Mrs Nkiruka Nwofor, appreciated the Commission for the wonderful works it is doing while looking forward to all areas of collaboration that will spread the anti-corruption campaign.

Also speaking, the President, Integrity Club of the College, Chidinma Okeanu, expressed her heartfelt appreciation on behalf of the students acknowledging that the knowledge garnered from the programme will stay with them for a long time.
