2027: Kogi leaders pledges support for Tinubu as presidential team inspects projects
Senior officials of the Kogi State Government have assured President Bola Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of overwhelming electoral support in the 2027 general elections, citing ongoing federal and state infrastructure projects as evidence of the administration’s development agenda.
The assurance was given on Monday as the Renewed Hope Ambassadors and the Presidential Media Team concluded the third day of their inspection tour of federal and state government projects across Kogi State.
Speaking during the inspection of projects in Gbede, Yagba West Local Government Area, the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo, said residents were satisfied with the Federal Government’s interventions and expected more development.
According to him, the state’s electorate would express their appreciation through the ballot in the 2027 elections.
Fanwo also attributed the state’s infrastructure expansion to Tinubu’s economic reforms, saying they had increased resources available to sub-national governments for development projects.
Leading the delegation, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communications, Sunday Dare, said the projects inspected reflected the impact of the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda and Governor Usman Ododo’s development efforts.
He said the team had witnessed significant investments in roads, healthcare and other critical sectors, adding that they demonstrated the administration’s commitment to infrastructure development nationwide.
Among the projects inspected were a 15-kilometre asphalted internal road network with drainage and a newly constructed primary healthcare centre in Gbede, as well as the ongoing reconstruction of the Kabba-Egbe-Omuaran-Ilorin Road by the Federal Government.
