Shettima, APC governors storm Yola for Fintiri’s grand reception

Vice President, Kashim Shettima, on Monday arrived at the Lamido Aliyu Mustapha International Airport in Yola, Adamawa State, ahead of a planned political event expected to see Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri defect from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Shettima was received at the airport by Governor Fintiri alongside several prominent political figures, including the Chairman of the All Progressives Governors Forum and Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma; Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State; Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State; Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State; Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State; and Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State.
Also present were the Deputy President of the Senate, Barau Jibrin; the National Chairman of the APC, Nentawe Yilwatda; former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha; and other senior party stakeholders.
The Vice President’s visit is also expected to spotlight the policy direction of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, particularly the Renewed Hope Agenda, which APC leaders say is attracting members of opposition parties into the ruling party.
