BBNaija Season 11: Barry secures final spot, saves Aikou from eviction

Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemate Barry has emerged as the first finalist of the “Everything Is for Taking” edition after securing the Week 8 Head of House position.

Barry’s victory came after he defeated other housemates in the HoH challenge on Monday. The victory earned him a spot in the finale and the power to influence the eviction process for the week.

As part of his privileges as Head of House, Barry chose Keivo, whom he battled in the final rounds of the HoH challenge, as his Loft Mate.

During the live nominations show, Biggie informed Barry that he was the season’s first finalist. He subsequently used his veto power to save Aikou from possible eviction after Big Brother asked the housemates to pitch why they deserved to remain in the competition ahead of next week’s eviction.

Aikou, who was named the Most Influential Player for Week 7 but had no immunity from eviction, convinced Barry with his pitch, ultimately earning another opportunity to remain in the competition.

However, Barry’s decision to save Aikou using his Ultimate Veto Power attracted backlash from other housemates, including Temi Nkem and Tram, who expressed dissatisfaction with the development.

Meanwhile, Bella emerged as the Bench Warmer for Week 7, a position that comes with the punishment of wearing a designated outfit for the week, sitting on a designated bench and washing the hygiene area of the house.

The Week 8 development comes as the remaining housemates continue their battle for a place in the final week of the show and a chance to win the ultimate prize.
