Pastor Jimmy Odukoya introduces new wife to congregation

Jimmy Odukoya, Senior Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church, has introduced his new wife to members of the congregation during a church service on Sunday.
The announcement followed an Instagram post he shared on Friday, featuring a photograph of a ring with the caption, “TO NEW BEGINNINGS”. The image showed an oval diamond engagement ring and a diamond band, sparking speculation about his marital status.
Speaking to the congregation on Sunday, Odukoya addressed reactions to the post, introducing his new wife and in-laws to the church.
“I saw people’s expressions of uncertainty on my post: ‘To New Beginnings’. You know I’ve been without a wife since I started this pastor journey. Allow me to introduce to you my lovely wife, Pastor Mrs Odukoya,” he said.
He subsequently invited Pastor Tony Bakare and his wife to pray for the couple. Bakare expressed surprise at the development and asked whether the bride’s parents were aware of and had consented to the marriage.
“You have surprised me. You’ve surprised the church, and I hope this surprise will not cause trouble anywhere. Are the parents aware? Did they consent to it?” he said.
Odukoya confirmed that his bride’s parents were aware of and had consented to the union before inviting them onto the stage for recognition. He described the presence of his in-laws as a sign of God’s approval, comparing his father-in-law to his late father, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya.
Odukoya, a Nollywood actor, took over the leadership of The Fountain of Life Church following his father’s death in 2023. He was previously married to Kemi Odukoya in 2013, and they have two children.
